Basically, expanding what I have in the sticky.

Melisan's Sex/Gender
Melisan is biologically female, but presents as male. Aldea is pre-industrial (no sex-reassignment surgery or hormones) and, while magic could alter someone's sex, Melisan is far too paranoid to let anyone near him who knew. (Plus, such magic is watched carefully, since in the wrong hands it creates Horrible Abominations.)

So, Melisan gets by with acting and strategically placed padding. It's certainly possible to tell Melisan's sex without catching him without clothing, but in general, Melisan has passed pretty well. (Some of that is being part of a culture with strict gender roles, some of that is non-human ancestry.) So it should take either an exceptionally observant individual, or someone with super-senses.

Or just seeing an androgynous looking person and mis-gendering them; which will get a cranky correction.

Second Sight/Ward
Melisan can sense magic being cast and counter it. He can't sense mages. He can also see the echos of past magic use.

Visionary Talent
Melisan is trained in Object-Reading and untrained in Visions. Basically this is a giant plot/CR coupon! Melisan can accidentally pick up on the future (not at all well) and read the past from inanimate objects (pretty well) by accident. Let me know if this is something you want to play with.

Psychic Talent
Melisan can read minds. In general this is opt-in, and he won't use it (especially not anything beyond Mind-Touch, which is basically psychic communication) unless pressed, because he's not supposed to know it. I'll let you know if he uses it.

Purifying Light/Cryston
A lot of Melisan's weapons are less useful or useless if not targeting demons/the undead/creatures of evil and/or darkness.
